Air Quality Egg: Shield only ship date

Posted: October 24th, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Uncategorized | 3 Comments »

I am pleased to announce that people who ordered just the Air Quality Egg shield will have their orders start shipping on Tuesday.

We have the electronics for the whole basic egg, but don’t have the enclosures yet. We will be shipping the full eggs as soon as the enclosures are done.

I am a kickstarter backer and HOPE to be recieving my reward soon: where can i find or can you provide detailed information about getting the air quality shield up and running with an uno R3 and a generic ethernet shield running the W5100 chipset? I need information on connecting the hardware and programming &/or downloading the code to the uno/shields

We spent last night capturing some sample data, and will post a blog entry. The wiznet chipset issue should be abstracted away by the libraries and you’ll need to change to the correct library. I guess there can always be issues, but we will deal with them as they come up.

Here is a repeat of the last message i sent a week or more ago and i am still waiting on a response to it:

“If i need to get an arduino brand shield to avoid additional complexity i will do so. Or if it REALLY simplifies things, i guess i could go ahead and purchase the “nanode gateway” as suggested in the kickstarter update. I really do not want to waste the UNO i purchased specifically for this project, i did so based on earlier messages to AQE people.
